In late 2023, we announced the launch of CGI.B Horizon , our new AI-powered HDRi Map and Backplate generator.
Horizon is an innovative system trained on hundreds of thousands of our HDRi Maps and Backplates. Based on its training, Horizon can generate new HDRi Maps and Backplates using only a text prompt.
Horizon is also capable of using images as input, transforming any image from our collection (or an external source) into a new HDRi Map. In addition to generating new Maps, Horizon is a powerful tool to assist internal design teams in ideation, as well as to perform visual searches.
Initially, we released Horizon to only a small group of beta testers. We have recently announced that we will be expanding this group to include many more users in our Freelance and Pro plans.
To demonstrate what Horizon can do, we took a look at several use cases from our early Beta testing of the system. Already, designers are finding some amazing ways to use the system!
